Coaching Philosophy

  • Coaching is often confused with mentoring, training or consulting. While these skills may be appropriate at times during the coaching process, coaching itself is very different from other disciplines which position the practitioner as the expert on the client and the client’s circumstances.

At Pipeline Coach the client/coach relationship is established through a mutual understanding that only the client can know what is true for them. Coaching, therefore, is about client and coach gaining a mutual understanding of that truth. Only then can we co-create solutions that allow the client to put their new awareness into practice, leading the change and results they seek.

We offer complementary coaching sessions to help both client and coach determine whether this is the right time for coaching and whether there is a good personal and professional fit. If the answer to each of these questions is "Yes" we will work with you to create an environment of shared accountability and control, ensuring your desired results and long-term success.

Satisfaction is unconditionally guaranteed based on your determination of whether value was received.

Core Values

  • LEADERSHIP:  Top performers may have discovered their path to success, but unless they are ready, willing, and able to help others succeed they cannot lead. In short, leaders know the way, go the way, and show the way. Leaders have made the transformation from 'me' to 'we', operating at a level that allows them to show up for others as authentically as they would show up for themselves. By definition, therefore, leadership can exist at every level within an organization, supporting and reinforcing core cultural imperatives as well as key customer relationships. The pursuit of LEADERSHIP as a core value evokes additional values such as character, curiosity, balance, and discipline.

  • TEAMWORK:  Formal and informal teams thrive when each team member can find themselves in the goals expressed by the team.  There may not be an 'I' in team, but there is a 'me'.  High-performing teams nurture a high level of individual development and mutual accountability.  And yet, without trust the team may operate as nothing more than a gang.  Cultivating trust allows the team to become more than the sum of its parts, optimizing performance, taking the individual and shared goals of its members to a higher level.  The pursuit of TEAMWORK as a core value evokes additional values such as integrity, mutual accountability, leverage and trust.

  • WINNING:  Winning has the power to confirm and expand the potential of any person, team, or business that competes.  The key is choosing the proper competitor.  In fact, lining up to compete against others ultimately limits our potential, allowing external competitive forces to set our standards for success (i.e. External Locus).  Over time this brand of success has limits, and can foster a culture of complacency and arrogance ultimately forcing us into a state of crisis.  Lining up to compete against ourselves, however, positions us for unlimited potential by always challenging us to compete against our last best performance (i.e. Internal Locus).  Over time this brand of success breeds a culture of curiosity, independence, and self-reliance turning achievement into a belief and winning into a habit. The pursuit of WINNING evokes additional values such as self-reliance, struggle, consistency, and excellence.
